Three Talking Points From Latest Super Eagles’ Squad List For October Friendlies

It is no longer news that the Super Eagles of Nigeria will be playing their first match in over nine months later in October, no thanks to the covid-19 pandemic which put an abrupt end to international matches across the world.

Having gotten an approval from the world’s football governing body FIFA and other concerned medical practitioners, the West African country will slug it out with the Elephant of Ivory Coast in a friendly encounter scheduled to take place in Austria.

In preparation for the highly-anticipated encounter, the Nigeria National team handler has released a list of 25 players who will possibly play a part in the game.

After going through the recently-released squad list, Perfectlife’s football analyst Ibukun Italoye brings out three major points which are discussed below:

1. Dele Alampasu Gets Another Chance To Impress

Remember Dele Alampasu? Yes! your guess is as good as mine. He was the best goalkeeper during 2013 U-17 World Cup that was played in the United Arab Emirate.

Unfortunately, his development after the competition hasn’t gone as predicted by many football experts and analysts.

The Ventspils goal-tender was once invited to the Eagles camp by Gernot Rohr in order to see him perform as heir to Carl Ikeme but he couldn’t convince the gaffer of his ability as he wasn’t given any game time.

Since then, the 23-year-old goalie hasn’t been called up to the camp. Surprisingly, Alampasu has been handed a recall into the team and he will be expected to feature against the Elephants.

Luckily, he is competing against relatively inexperienced goalies for a spot in the team. Hence, playing for the senior national team might just be a dream that never come to pass for the former CD Feirense should he fail to impress yet again.

2. Rohr Keeps Faith In His Usual Prospects Despite Some Under-the-radar Transfer Moves

Kenneth Omeruo’s RCD Leganes got relegated to the Spanish Segunda Liga last season which has raised concern within some of the Eagles’ fan-base about the player’s chances of maintaining his spot in the team.

However, their worries have been sorted out, at least for now, as it appeared Rohr is staying glue to his familiar stewards irrespective of the club they play for.

Should Ekong’s proposed move to Watford eventually materialize in coming days, the manager will see at least four of his players ply their trade in second-tier Leagues around the globe.

3. Opportunity For New Players To Claim A Spot In The Team

According to Allnigeriasoccer while analyzing the recently-released list, seven players will likely make their debut for the team after Rohr invited seven uncapped players including Sanusi Zaidu, Chidera Ejuke, Yakubu Matthew and others.

This means the new players have just been given the chance to show the manager what they can offer to the team.

This opportunity also serves as trial because the gaffer will possibly ignore anyone who fails to live up to expectations in future international engagements.

  1. What’s up?

I found this article very interesting…please read!

Do you remember the blockbuster hit film The Matrix that was released in 1999? You may not know this, but it has deep spiritual implications concerning the times we are living in and Bible prophecy.

It tells a story of how these “agents” are trying to turn us into machines. We are closer then ever before for this to become a reality when they cause us to receive an implantable microchip in our body during a time when physical money will be no more.

You may have seen on NBC news concerning the implantable RFID microchip that some people are getting put in their hand to make purchases, but did you know this microchip matches perfectly with prophecy in the Bible?

“He (the false prophet who deceives many by his miracles) causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name…

You also may have heard of the legendary number “666” that people have been speculating for possibly thousands of years on what it actually means. This article shares something I haven’t seen before, and I don’t think there could be any better explanation for what it means to calculate 666. This is no hoax. Very fascinating stuff!

…Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666″ (Revelation 13:16-18 NKJV).

GOD is sending out His end time warning:

“Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name” (Revelation 14:9-11).

Seek Jesus while He may be found…God bless!
