One-time Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United target Victor Osimhen, 21, is set to create a new transfer record as he is reportedly closed to sealing his €60 (which could rise to €81m) move to Napoli.
According to This Day Live, the Nigerian striker has completed his medicals and has agreed a five-year contract deal with the Naples.
If the youngster finally completes his switch to the Serie A side in such huge amount, he will become the club’s most expensive player.
Having scored 18 goals for French side Lille during the 2019-20 season, the youngster will be charged with the responsibility of leading the Naples’ attacking frontline next season.
Meanwhile, Lille are currently in search of his replacement and they have shown interest in another Nigerian international Emmanuel Dennis who plays for Club Brugge.
The 22-year-old attracted scouts’ attention during Champions League clash against Real Madrid in which he scored two lovely goals to help his team secure a 2-2 draw at Santiago Bernabeu.
Dennis is currently valued at €30m by the Belgian side and it remains unknown if Lille are ready to meet the asking price.
